Maria was born on March 8, 1977, in Moscow. She started taking pictures at the age of 13. Graduated from the Moscow Pedagogic University in 1999 (Russian Philology Department)
In 2002 Maria graduated from the Television and Radio Workers’ Institute for Advanced Studies (Artisctic and Documentary Programs Department).
Maria underwent a training as a documentary photographer at the movie studio "Mosfilm".
From 2000 to 2007 Maria worked on federal TV channels as a news reporter, editor-in-chief, reviewer, special correspondent, author and editor of the documentaries.
Maria is the author and director of the following documentaries (for channel 3):
- "Unknown Solovki" (2002)
- "Moldova Pridnestrovie. 10 years later" (2002)
- "The Lost City" (2004)
- "Prisoner's Bread" (2004)
Maria is also the author of the documentary "Boris Andreev's Insanity" (2007) made for Russia TV.
From 2007 to 2008 Maria worked at a movie production company Amedia as a script writer and editor-in-chief on the following shows: "Tatyna's Day", "Look Before You Leap", "Shpak's People".
From May 2006 to June 2009 Maria has worked as a documentary photographer (reporter photoshoots) at the productions companies "MEDIA City" and "VEK".
Her work included doing reporter photoshoots directly from the sets, portrait photography at the actor castings, event photography.
Starting from 2006 till present time Maria has been working as a professional photographer doing private protoshoots and documentary photography.
Her private work includes portrait photoshoots, retro photoshoots, author style portaits, genre photography (including collaboration with the Internet- and printed media.
